Dict. Auto. Select?

If I've switched languages (top right hand corner), usually by accident, when I search something I get limited results or single characters only.

But if I toggle back to CN the query I originally entered shows up as intended.

In previous versions I believe Pleco would auto toggle to where an entry was found, e.g.: CN or CANTO, etc.

Is there a way to reenable this function?

Sorry, not quite understanding this - is the actual text in the search field changing here? Or is the problem that it's not giving you as many results as it did before? Could you email me a backup of your flashcard database?

Let me play around with this again - my initial hunch might be wrong.
