Why not advertise in yourself?

KEY has an entry, HanDeDict has an entry.

I, obviously, cannot speak for the coding logistics of it, but why not replace "no def" with "Def. Available In: KEY [click here to purchase]...," etc. for instance?

If users knew there was a resource available with an entry, I'm sure they might be persuaded to look into it, no?

I'm pretty firmly against anything resembling ads in Pleco, which this would be - I don't want anybody using the free app to feel like they're being upsold, I'm fortunate enough to have a business that's successful without doing that sort of thing.

Perhaps "advertising" was a bit strong? I was thinking of something similar to when you have dictionaries installed but not activated? I can't remember the exact phrasing.

It would be impossible to know if a certain word or character is in any available dictionaries otherwise. Does that make sense?

Yes, but I'd be reluctant to include paid dictionaries in that, and if we limit it to free dictionaries only, I'm not sure if it'd worth the trouble to implement a feature like this when someone can simply download all of our free dictionaries.

(I do think there's room to fill out our free dictionary offerings a bit more, though, haven't revisited them in a few years)
