Character input for cards/user dict: default to Keyboard?

Is there an option somewhere in settings to achieve the following:
- when editing a flashcard or user dictionary entry's character headword field, default to keyboard input rather than handwriting? (If you could also select which keyboard it would default to - simplified chinese etc - even better).

No, but we've had a few requests for it. (it would not be possible to select a default keyboard, unfortunately, that's an iOS limitation)

For now, if you turn on Settings / Panels / Handwriting Interface / Show 2nd chars on tap, that will speed up the process of entering words with handwriting a bit at least (tap on one character and you see a list of options for the most likely second one).
