Can't shrink full screen list/definition

The list of dictionary Entries used to show up on the right hand side and the definition, etc. on the left. Now, suddenly, the list is always showing on full screen. When I click on a word the definition shows up full screen. I have tried every preference I have found that seems to remotly address this problem, with no success. How do I have the screen split with the list on teh right and the definitions on the left?

Make sure that the first two boxes in the "Navigation" preferences panel are unchecked, then tap-hold on the list button (biao3 character) and select "Right" - that should get things back to normal.

Thank you Mike. The holding down of the biao3 character is the step I was missing.
