Cannot Install Pleco Dict onto my Palm T|E - Help please!

Hello, this is my first post to this forum and I have a question about how to install the PlecoDict. Thanks for any advice you can give!!

I previously had an older version of Pleco on my palm, but one day my palm crashed and I was unable to access it anymore. I have reinstalled the newer version of Pleco on my Palm, but when I try to access it, I get a message that says:

"Cannot locate any dictionary files. Please double-check that you've correctly installed the files to RAM or the /PALM/Launcher directory on your flash memory card."

Then it gives me the option to either "OK" or "Reset Prefs".

I'm pretty sure I've installed everything correctly, and am starting to think that maybe it's just my Palm? It's been acting up lately, and I recently did a hard reset. I'm in China studying right now, and it's been extremely difficult to do anything without my Pleco!! Thanks for any help!

Sounds like something went wrong in that reinstall. What type / model of Palm is this? Do you have a memory expansion card for it, and if so, how big is the card?

The first thing I'd recommend is that you delete everything you've installed so far and try installing the software again. Go to your Palm's application launcher screen (the one with all of the program icons on it), tap on the clock at the top of that screen and choose "Delete" from the "App" menu. Scroll through that list and delete anything with "Pleco", "ABC", "NWP", or "Oxford" in its name.

After that, download a fresh copy of the current PlecoDict installer from our website and run through the install again. If that doesn't get things working, let me know about the Palm model / expansion card and I'll try to help in more detail.
