Audio for definition entry requires long press and voice selection

When I press the audio icon on the head word the audio plays fine using my selected purchased audio voice where available. When I select a similar sound icon for a dictionary entry it does nothing. I have to do a long press/press and hold, after which a voice selection appears where I can then select a TTS voice and then it plays.
Is this by design? Can it not automatically play using the selected default / randomised TTS voice by just a simple press/tap of the sound icon like it does for the head word?
I have voice order set to Mandarin Male Recordings then Mandarin Female Recordings. For TTS I have set as System Mandarin TTS (Male). Always start with first voice is enabled and Breakdown recordings is disabled (which I think means use TTS)

That TTS setting is specifically for long passages in the document reader with the megaphone button (when you really want only one voice because you want to stop and start again and jump around and so on); it doesn't apply to any other audio playback. So it seems like in this case there's a bug where it's only seeing the two recording voices in your voice order, it can't use either of those to play an example, and so rather than picking some other voice it just gives up.

We should be able to fix this pretty easily in our next bug fix update, but in the meantime my best suggestion would be that you add a TTS voice to that voice order.
