Any way to put the flash card dictionaries on SD Card?

Hello,

I just purchased the beta on recommendation from Sandra. Thanks!

Much better than H&HSoft and Declan.

The flashcard dictionaries are quite large and get placed in \My Documents in main memory. Is there anyway to put them on an SD Card or other external storage?

Also, are there future plans to do voice like the Declan Audio Flash Cards? That would make this complete!

Thanks,
Eric

Thank you for buying our software (and thanks to sfrrr for the word-of-mouth advertising).

You can move the flashcard directories to the same directory on as the rest of PlecoDict's data files (wherever they've ended up on your SD card) - they may save data a little more slowly but they should certainly work. Though I would recommend that you be extra careful not to remove the card while the software is in use - as long as you don't remove it when PlecoDict is right in the middle of saving information, it should be OK, but the safest bet is to use the Quit command in the Dict menu anytime you're about to remove the card.

And yes, we are planning to add audio at some point in the not-too-distant future; we've already recorded one set of samples for every individual Pinyin syllable, so the question now is whether to add additional speakers (so that we can have both male and female voices, and maybe also a Southern accent to help people distinguish s/sh etc) and how many multiple-character words we should record. But it's definitely in the pipeline, yes.
