ABC dictionary -- problem loading

Hi Folks:

I've just loaded up Pleco on my brand-new Tungsten E2. The card info shows that the ABC dictionary is definitely loaded on the expansion card, but.... I cannot seem to access it inside of PlecoDict.c

I have tried deleting it from the card & re-loading, to no avail.
Any suggestions?

I should note that since my computer is a Linux box, and I am using J-Pilot to synch my Palm, I can't upload directly to the card thru it, like the MS-Quick Install software. Instead, I am loading files to the SD card via a card-reader; and yes, I do have it loaded in the /Palm/Launcher/ directory.

Hmm... try this: go to PlecoDict's "Ordering" screen (open up PlecoDict, tap on the menu button at the bottom left corner of your Palm's display, and choose "Ordering" from the "Help" menu) - is the ABC dictionary listed in the Paid or Demo dicts column? Or is it not listed at all?

If it's listed under Paid, make sure that you've got the software in Chinese-to-English mode and the ABC dictionary should come up when you tap on the dictionary switch button.

If it's listed under Demo, reinstall / re-run your keyfile and that should unlock the dictionary and allow you to access it.

If it's not listed at all, is there any chance that your system might have corrupted the file in some way? (e.g. by treating it as a text file and turning all of the 0's into spaces?) Try using a different decompression utility and see if the ABC database from that works any better.

The ABC dictionary was indeed listed under demo & reloading the unlock key worked like a charm. Thanks very much!
