I hurry to bring good news to iOS users: for a ridiculous amount of all kinds of free Chinese books, go to App Store and type 书香云集。

However, appears that this app does not support export or open in or any other way to export the text to pleco....did I miss it?

You are right, it doesn't, but it offers an online translator, and I usually go to Pleco from there.
