If you try to install the legacy version of Pleco in the Swedish App Store (Apple) its not available.

Is there a way to have the search bar bigger on iPad? Like how it used to be in v3. It’s tiny now and to its right is just empty space. If you paste a sentence (I know the clip reader is probably better for this) or type more than a few characters you can’t see them all.you also have to move your right hand further (if you are right handed and hold your iPad with your left hand when typing). This is in landscape mode.

This one is a super minor thing… but is there a way to get the old color scheme on v4? I’m sure I will get used to the new one if I have to but I really don’t like it. I’m an old hat, get off my lawn!

are there plans for ocr in the reader? I have quite a few scanned pdfs (both left-right and up-down reading direction). Right now I use the (iOS) built in pdf reade, take a screenshot if I encounter a part I don’t understand and then open still ocr. But at this point I’m unsure why I’m not just going to ChatGPT to get a long explanation of what I’m seeing. I would rather just open the document in Pleco and tap the words I’m unsure about.

Legacy app: the link there is to a nonexistent App Store listing but you should see it listed in TestFlight.

Bigger search bar: we're working on that one.

Old color scheme: sorry, what do you mean? You can get tone colors back in settings. The basic aesthetic of blue tints on translucent white backgrounds should be pretty much unchanged, we just updated it for newer iOS versions (and now we'll probably have to update it again next week with the next version of iOS reportedly having a big redesign).

OCR in reader: already supported, tap on the 'share' button to toggle between OCR and reader mode for PDFs. By default, it'll open in OCR mode if it doesn't detect any embedded text and reader mode if it does.
