Q: Other programs that have Pleco's colour-coded tones

I am loving the colour coded tone feature on plecodict,
Does anyone know if is there are any other programs/scripts/plugins which does this for the PC, especially for annotating the web.

I think any visual display of tones would make the transistion from pinyin to characters a lot easier.

Haven't seen any, no - the friend of mine who came up with the idea did some research and the only other uses of it that he could find were from several decades ago. I think one or two textbook series may have used something similar at some point also, but software-wise as far as I know we're the only ones doing it. Though I suppose that might change, since there's prior art we can't patent it (not that we would anyway, software patents are evil and those who register them should be ashamed of themselves) and technically it wouldn't be very difficult for someone else to implement.
