Compatibility questions

So I have a few questions about tech compatibility.

1) If you have a jailbroken iDevice how does that affect app updates and purchases?

2) I am considering buying an Android phone and was wondering if there were any estimates on how long it would be until flashcards would sync between devices.

1) Depends on the jailbreak method, to be honest - some jailbroken devices are hacked in such a way as to make it impossible to access (legal) in-app purchases, others are not. So I can't make any promises about whether or not a particular jailbroken device would work.

2) No specific timeline on that at the moment - right now we're focusing on wrapping up our big iOS 7 update so we haven't really given much thought to Android all summer. And the lack of any news or even clear rumors on Android 5 is making it difficult to settle on a timeline for Android work, beyond the mid-sized update we're planning to sync up the database formats / port over the new cross-platform features from iOS (Cantonese search / audio, e.g.).
