Some questions (1) add own example sentence to card generated from dictionary (2) test writing

Hi, new user here,

(1) I find it easiest to add cards directly from the dictionary or the document reader by clicking the + icon. How do I add my own example sentence to that card quickly (or at all)? Or conversely, how can I add an auto-generated dictionary definition to a custom card?

(2) How can I choose which dictionary (or ideally multiple) definitions to show on the card during the test?

(3) Can I practice writing? The only option I see that approaches it is "stroke order", but that's really not it.

1) Can't at the moment - you'd have to convert the card to custom text first and then manually add the example. This will be fixed (= is already fixed in development builds) in 4.0.

2) No way to do that except likewise by converting to a custom card and editing the text.

3) Fill-in-the-blanks with "prompt for" set to "Characters" is what you'd want for that.
