Are there any updates of this dictioary becoming available? I think it would make a great addition to pleco.
I'm asking since the last posts on this topic are from about 10 years ago.

No - I'm a little less certain whether we need it now, feels like an offline version of Chinese Wikipedia would offer much of the same thing.

I was mostly speaking from an academic perspective, as Wikipedia is not seen as a reliable source in such contexts and I assumed a large portion of Pleco users are university students.
Nevertheless, Wikipedia would make a great addition as well for personal research.

True - just hard to convince people to pay a lot of money for an encyclopedia these days
