Hello

I use C->E dictionaries mostly in PopUp Definition.
I've already ABC, ADS etc.

Is KEY better then ABC & Adso?
It has allegedly more words (>50k) than ABC.

As a testbed I use a chinese & english ebook "Dejin Li - A Practical Chinese Grammar for Foreigners"
Should I buy KEY C->E dictionary?
Thank you.

BTW .. I bought TuttleUpdate without knowing/seeing how to test the update .....

I don't think it is a case of better or worse - every dictionary has their strengths and weaknesses. There will be things in ABC that you won't be able to find in KEY and things in KEY that you won't find in ABC.

I believe KEY has defined the majority of CJK characters (not including extensions), they also have a wide range of slogans and mottos, Taiwanese vocabulary and general phrases that you won't find in ABC or other dictionaries for that matter.

They don't have any sample or example sentences and that might be their biggest flaw.

You won't regret the purchase, though.

edit: here's a good example: the word 背锅 can only be found in KEY:

>"carry a pot on one's back"—be a scapegoat, take the rap, be unjustly accused

it's a common word online - but only KEY has recorded it, there are many like this.
