I faced many iCloud sync woes using Pleco on my iPad and iPhone. Once in a while all my flashcard settings would be gone and I have experienced database conflicts very often. Without iOS 8 and CloudKit, Pleco should be able to connect to iCloud directly and ask for data directly, just as with 1Password 5. Could you please implement these iCloud sync enhancements? Thanks in advance!

CloudKit actually offers very limited storage capacity for each app, so I'm afraid it wouldn't be feasible for us to use it for flashcard databases - it's more for syncing small bits of data (like encrypted passwords).
We are working on a fix for database conflicts - that has to come from our end - and even without explicitly using CloudKit, disappearing databases should be less of a problem in 8 because Apple's migrating to a generally more reliable system for storing files.
