Android: will I loose settings if I reinstall?

hi,
I have v 3.2.25 installed on my Huawei Honor 4x running Android 4.4.2 .
yesterday the Pleco icon dissapeared from the launcher screen .
I restarted the device and slso moved the app back to the phone. Icon is still gone. Myquestion is:
Can I just reistall 3.2.25 without loosing settings or data?

Generally, reinstalling won't erase anything without prompting you first, and if it prompts you first then that means the app is still installed somewhere (icon just disappeared). Check the system Settings app, under Applications - is Pleco still listed in there? If not then Pleco is already deleted and its data files unfortunately may be lost - have you installed a system update recently? Or changed SD or SIM cards?
