Change list here. Up for GPlay beta testers now and on our website here, up for everyone else probably tomorrow. Some accumulated random bug fixes, plus a long-overdue automated weekly flashcard backup prompt and a plecoapi:// URL scheme for searching Pleco from websites (identical to the scheme in our iOS app).

In flashcards, edit card text, it seems no longer to be possible to copy the headword or anything else - the top of the screen above "Simplified Character Headword" gets white in night mode - in day mode there is no problem.
When in day mode I copy a single character from the simplified headword, this is transferred to the input field of the dictionary.

When backing up the flashcard database, I notice that the default name is now flashbackup-X.pqb, where X is some long number that changes each time. Is it possible to change this? Before, I used to just save it as flashbackup.pqb and mark it as a favorite in Dropbox so that it was easy to automatically keep changes synced between my phone and tablet. Now, it won't automatically sync unless I edit the filename back to flashbackup.pqb every time I save, or go into Dropbox and manually upload it. This is more Dropbox's fault than Pleco's, but if it's easy to at least add back the option to set the default filename for the backed up database, that would be very useful.

Yes, we can add an option for that in our next update. (we made that change so that people would not automatically overwrite their backups with our new weekly backup system)

I agree in general but I'm worried about name limitations in third party file sharing services - would have to be very short, and light on punctuation.

'Use menu button for drawer' (Settings > Miscellaneous) doesn't work for me anymore... instead, a pop-up menu is raised that says "Search". Also, the Search pop-up sets the cursor in the search field askew... it goes moves up slightly higher, instead of centered. When I tap the X to clear the search field, it returns to being centered.

Are the days of menu button support finally over, or is that something that can still be brought back? Thanks.

What model of device and what version of Android? Stock or custom firmware? (We didn't change much of anything about this in .10)

No real changes here... I'm stuck in the past. :) Obviously I update some apps, so I'm not ruling out something on my end. But no changes to the core system stuff recently.

Galaxy Tab 3 8.0" (SM-T310), Android 4.2.2, rooted, custom kernel, XPrivacy installed (but none of those things have changed in months).

Edited to add: I reproduced this with a clean install of Pleco and all permissions granted. On my tablet at least, in 3.2.9 the sidebar menu is opened by the hardware menu key, in 3.2.10 the 'Search' pop-up is raised.

Hmm... well it could be a compatibility change on Google's end since we built against the new Android 5.1 SDK this time; we'll see if we can reproduce the problem here, but I don't think we can really roll back to an older SDK long term, so if that does turn out be the problem and there isn't a workaround then we may have to direct people who need the menu button back to an older version download.

Ah, I was afraid it might be something like that... well, that's the price of progress, I guess. It wouldn't be the first app that I use regularly that the menu button doesn't do what I'd like it to. Actually, this is less potentially-destructive/inconveniencing. If it's possible to support a workaround without too much effort, I'd appreciate it but it's not crucial. Thanks for looking into it. Cheers!

I don't know if this is the right place to report dictionary mistakes, but the headword for 响噹噹 in PLC is '响噹噹,' with a comma.

Pleco 3.2.12 Build April 2: Did you change the font size, e.g. of the main menu or the statistics? Maybe I am wrong, but I think there is now plenty of unused space on my tablet, while the readability is reduced.

We briefly ignored and then stopped ignoring the systemwide font size settings - can't remember the exact updates but it's possible you might be remembering what it was like during the period we were ignoring that setting. Try adjusting the system font size in the Android system Settings app and see if that gives you something more to your liking.

The font size of the Android settings has almost no influence on the font size used by Pleco: in Statistics, just the name of the selected category and the selected Scorefile is changed, while everything else is the same. In Dictionary, the the size of "Done" in the done button is changed, nothing else.

Hmm... well in that case I don't know why the size would have changed on you; have you installed any system software updates on your tablet recently?
